Comic Creators Con '21 is a mock event made for independent comic creators of all kinds: writers, artists, designers, publishers, etc. Projects include: Event Name & Logo, Apparel Design, Invitation design, Web Ads, Ticket Design, and Stage Design.
Logo: I wanted to used a gradient color scheme since that is a design trend for 2021 and I wanted to use negative space with the "C" inside the Pencil.
Apparel: I decided to go through the staff and behind-the-scenes route with creating a Staff T-Shirt and inviting a guest speaker to speak at the event, instead of creating event t-shirts for guests to purchase and use during the event.
Invitation: The Invitation consists of a direct mailer folder that opens up and contains a booklet with information on the event for the invitee, a lanyard, and a pin for the guest speaker.
Web Ads: I decided to do three banner ads for this campaign. These ads are designed to target both a younger and older audience. The first ad targets teenagers who are wanting to break into comic creation; the second ad is targeting those who are already working in the industry; the third and final ad is a general ad that can appear either on YouTube videos or at the bottom of websites.
Tickets: I created two types: Hero & Basic Access. Hero access is one design each day of the event, but it employs the gradient motif on the perforated stub, whereas the Basic tickets are solid colors - the three colors of the campaign. The perforated stubs come off and the the "v" strip helps identify whether the ticket is a Hero or Basic ticket. Each ticket as a new quote by well-known comic creators on the front and a map for parking on the back.
Stage: The stage was designed to be simpler. Since the event would take place in the Miami Beach Convention Center, the stage would be used to give updates throughout the event since the main lobby is wide open for people to explore and go from booth to booth. At the stage, there will be interactive games, drawings & giveaways, guest speakers coming to give event updates or tell jokes, etc.
